Kings Of The Wild Frontier

Post by jetblacksdad » 10 May 2016, 13:48

I'm sure this will polarise people on here.

But I bloody loved Adam and the Ants.

Kings of the Wild Frontier is getting a 35 years re-issue next week and there are various formats including mega box set which I am looking forward to
I really think it is one of the best albums in my collection.
The songs, visuals, packaging. Superb work.
You can see why this put Adam Ant where he got to - OK, he didn't stay all that long and made some crap as well.

But seeing what the fella has been through and how the album still sounds good today, hats off to Adam.

(well, maybe not. He's as bald as a coot these days under those titfers)

Great album made better by the re-release when they put 'Zerox' on it.

Yes, also a fan. Looking forward to seeing him perform the album at Brixton in a few weeks. Saw him do White Sox and early stuff in a small venue a couple of years ago and it was bloody excellent

Really enjoyed his records back in the 80s, hardly ever listen now though but still think they're great fun.
He's been through a lot, respect him a lot

go to my 'live by request' page....i've put up a live show from 1980 at cleopatra's in huddersfield. great quality but gig gets cut short cos of crowd trouble. adam ant actually tells the crowd that the cops are on their way.
