Great topic. I'd invite Godzilla and nine screaming Japanese. Sushi provided by Elzar from Futurama.

Oh and Stan will serve the Salad undressed.
While Ollie's special dietary requirements call for Hard Boiled Eggs and Nuts!

Considering this, I went through a number of scenarios....

1. THE CHAMP & SCALLIONS DINNER: No Strangler present.

Long table, five chairs each side, with me at the head of the table. Gusty Spence, Billy Wright, Lenny Murphy, Johnny Adair and Michael Stone on one side, facing Gerry Adams, Martin McGuinness, Gerry Kelly, Alex Maskey and (token female) Mairead Farrell.

I act as cook (but no way am I gonna moderate 8) ).

2. THE STEAK & CHIPS DINNER: No Strangler present

Round table, ten chairs. Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, George Best, Stan Bowles, Jimmy Greaves, Robbie Fowler, Jimmy Nicholl, Kirk Hunter, Lindsay McKeown (the Elephant Man) and me.

Gordon Ramsay supplying cooking and Luv Bug waitressing duties.

3. THE 5-COURSE FULL MONTY DINNER:

Oval table, eleven chairs. JJ, me, Billy Connolly, Raquel Welch (fur bikini era), Kenny Dalglish, Rachael McAdams, Peter Ustinov, Keith Richards, Gillian Anderson, David Attenborough and Nigella lawson (who is cook, but joins the table between kitchen duties).
Allow me to re-arrange your face, sometimes I'd really like to get to know you better

But no Strangler? Maybe you could ask Jet to rattle the pots and pans while you do the cooking? Otherwise it's going to be awfully quiet...

I'm liking the thought processes here but only one of those parties is going to have me knocking on the door to borrow a cup of sugar.

Keith Allen's a good choice. He can go on my reserve bench.

For me it would be.....

Davros
Stevie T
Ava
Jim
Sigourney Weaver
Peters Capaldi
A random Syrian refugee
Gerald V Casale
John Simm
David Morrisey

Jamie Oliver would do the cooking and Lenny Henry do the washing up.
