Round the dinner table

Post by Bag Lady »

Who would you invite?

You're allowed up to ten people. You can have anyone alive, dead or fictional but only one Strangler. And who would do the cooking?

My current choices would be The Three Musketeers (all four of them), Captain John Yossarian, Richard Feynman, Haruki Murakami, Dave Greenfield, Alain de Botton and Terry Jones (as a token woman).

Nigel Slater would cater.

Like it.

I would have David Frost, Samuel L Jackson, Cleopatra, Michelle Pfeiffer, Russell Harty, Terry Wogan, Billy Connelly, Eddie Izzard, Helen Mirren. Hugh Cornwell and Keith Floyd cooking.

I'd like others to shown him for what he really is....

Can I have H G Wells as a stand in? Complete with Tripod?

Charlemagne, Oliver Cromwell, John Lydon, King Edward I, Hugh, Julius Caesar, Mr Bump, Queen Elizabeth I, Tim Metcalfe from Corrie and the little shit who knicked my bike when I was 12. I'd do the cooking so I could poison the little fucker.

Weirdly, I am actually having lunch with Alain de Boton on Saturday - in Cheongju, here in South Korea. I'll let him know he is invited to yours for dinner!

Well, isn't that a coincidence! Bet he'll be late if he's got to come all the way from S Korea. Feynman will be playing the bongos by the time Alain arrives. I'll get Nigel to keep something warm for him.
