Re: Favourite vinyl possession
I have London Ladies signed by the fab 4, pretty pleased with that, and the pink EP was always something to behold, I think it was my first coloured vinyl too. I always loved the Gospel gatefold too, The Last Supper is a work of art twice over
Think I'll go for a stroll in the trees.

Re: Favourite vinyl possession
They look nice, I guess, and as collectible items they're great. These days, I've gone digital though - partly out of convenience (for various reasons), and partly because I genuinely don't believe that vinyl sounds "better". There's a lot that I don't miss about vinyl: faulty turntables/needles fucking up records that are in decent condition, SSSSSSIBILIANCE, bad pressings/bad cuts, dodgy copies of albums sounding like the band is playing in a bowl of Rice Krispies, volume causing the record to jump, sellotaping coins to the stylus to weigh it down to stop the record from skipping on worn records, the fact that records wear out... I could go on...

Re: Favourite vinyl possession
I've fallen back in love with vinyl. Having sold me vinyl back in the 90s I'm now buying it all back, and for top dollar sometimes. There's just something so transient about stacking up a loaded of random mp3s that I've got bored of.
There's a lot to be said for bringing it all back to how it was originally intended and sticking some vinyl on. I enjoy getting up on a sat morning. Bit of tea and toast and some vinyl on the go. Bliss!

Can you please vote on the Top 17 album thread. It is very good and much more interesting than a General Election.Stevie.T-'up north' wrote:The flooring in my bathroom. Oh it's lovely!
By the way, it is 21.41.
