Will tune in for that one.
Re: CLASH LIVE @ ROXY 1977
Guess this will be the Clash footage, that Don Letts filmed of all their performances at the Roxy. Clash segments are also on DVD too: 'Punk Rock Movie'-Don Letts

Something better change!

But only segments. This is supposed to be the rest of the footage that wasn't used in that doc.Burn e 77 wrote:Guess this will be the Clash footage, that Don Letts filmed of all their performances at the Roxy. Clash segments are also on DVD too: 'Punk Rock Movie'-Don Letts

Good to see the BBC tapping into that demographic over the festive season.

I recorded this and as I started watching it the other day I wondered if the recorder had malfunctioned. Eventually the band appeared so I figured not. Hard going though, not sure I can be bothered sitting through all of it.

Have to agree with Droopsnoot. I got bored with this keep cutting to news of the day features etc became easily distracted.
Re: CLASH LIVE @ ROXY 1977
I stopped watching... terrible, and nonsensical.

I quite liked the band footage but the cockneys talking about the good old days with stock footage was just filler and unnecessary.
Still grateful for it mind. Probably the only decent thing I saw all Xmas on the box.

Re: CLASH LIVE @ ROXY 1977
Well, I got to the end of this. I must say the most interesting bits for me were the street scenes - being a bit of a classic car fan I'm always looking out for what's parked in the background with films from that era - I wasn't expecting to see the Clash stood next to an early Vauxhall Firenza with a dent in the front wing. You'd really have to be a massive Clash fan to be watching for the terrible sound of the gig and practice footage though.

An interesting and entertaining historical artefact.
But I don't think it would bear repeat viewings.
All that greasy 1970's hair, flowery dresses and fat ties....disgusting.
