It's got to be Smash It Up for me. So definitive. But I love all their songs.

Toss up between Neat, Neat, Neat, New Rose and History of the World. Looking forward to going to see them this summer in Glesga. Least this time, I might make the late bus home, when they played Edinburgh it was a long, long walk and then a taxi.
Greetings, fellow Stranglers fans.

Re: The Damned Favourite Track
I have many favourite tracks by the Damned but may years ago they did a version of Melody Lee on John Peel which I had recorded on cassette. Sadly the cassette got chewed and I lost that version for ever. It which was a slower version than appears on Machine Gun Etiquette but was just a fantasic track, and the session was recorded before the album was released. I remember being abit dissappointed with the album version due to its faster tempo although I liked the piano intro. I was hoping with all the John Peel session releases it would reappear some where but I havent seen it yet and wonder if it still exists?.
