Love The Damned, torn between DDD or MGE, with DDD just nicking it.

Just a reminder for Damned fans that, apart from Vanian and Sensible with the current line-up, Rat and Brian James have just started doing some dates performing DDD and MFP songs. So, not exactly 'two for the price of one' but close enough?.......

Confirmed dates so far are:

Friday 23rd March - Bristol, England (The Fleece)
Saturday 7th April - Dundee, Scotland (Beat Generator)
Sunday 8th April - Bathgate, Scotland (Dreadnought Rock)
Monday 30th April - Portland, OR, U.S.A. (Star Theatre)
Tuesday 1st May - Vancouver, BC, Canada (Rickshaw Theatre)
Wednesday 2nd May - Seattle, WA, U.S.A. (El Corazon)
Friday 4th May - San Francisco, CA, U.S.A. (Red Devil Lounge)
Sunday 6th May - Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A. (Echoplex)
Thursday 10th May - Kansas City (Record Bar)
Friday 11th May - Chicago, IL, U.S.A. (Reggie's Rock Club)
Sunday 13th May - Cleveland Heights, OH, U.S.A. (Grog Shop)
Tuesday 15th May - New York, NY, U.S.A. (Gramercy Theatre)
Wednesday 16th May - Long Branch, NJ, U.S.A. (Brighton Bar)

Saw them last Friday in Pontypool and it was superb.
Brian James is an awesome guitarist and as i have said on the forum before,
i think that Rat is the best punk drummer (i know others disagree).

Off to see them in Bristol on 23rd as well.

Strawberries has to be their best album in my view. I've always considered it to be their "Raven" in the sense that they were at the peak of their musical abilities and creativity. It's all subjective but every track on the album is brilliant (and it smelt of Strawberries which was nice).

Street of dreams is a brilliant track. The instrumental passage is very Stranglerish.
