Went to O2 BOSCOMBE last night for the nme tour - saw The Vaccines , Everything Everything -both are young groups but the former obviously are aware of the ramones et al and make a quite acceptable racket , whilst the latter are genuinely original -featuring v fluid basslines , complex druming and 3 part vocal harmonies - there debut lp translates v well live .
Mogwai - new lp " hardcore will never die ,but you will " predominately instrumental ...a good headphone lp ...and mexican grandprix a departure for them with a stereolab vibe ....even angling for a pass for tonight's gig
Recent releases by WIRE , GANG OF FOUR , SHRIEKBACK all greedily gobbled down
and looking to getting PJ HARVEY's newie and RADIOHEAD download this saturday
oh and of course there is a show in Hammersmith next month
