Just popped this on after a far too long break, forgot how much I love this song and the feelings it stirs, I feel quite tearful after hearing it (and after a few large ones).

I'll be terribly disappointed if Suchi (Another Cuba) does not comment, positively or otherwise.

Anyway, it's essential listening people.

I don't really like this one but I do like this kinda era NonSuch and Oranges And Lemons - That said I just love XTC - great band.

It was also covered by Crash Test Dummies a few years later
and was on the soundtrack of the film Dumb And Dumber

On hols at moment and have been playing Fossil Fuel & Nonsuch. Haven't heard PP in a while & forgot how good it was (unlike most of Nonsuch!). Still great to hear the first FF CD, some brilliant singles on there...

I haven't heard all of XTC's releases however Nonsuch is one of the few albums on my iPod by any band where I've got most album tracks on there.

TBOPP isn't one of my favourites off the album, if I had to choose I'd go with Books Are Burning, Humble Daisy, The Smartest Monkeys & The Disappointed.

I think I prefer Mummer album the most, but a great band whatever, more underrated than The Stranglers, despite a rack of hit singles too.

The majority of the album is amazing. Ugly Underneath is a particular fave Partridge's delivery of this is fantastic - I used to work at the other side of Leeds on used to play this album regularly on my drive in - great album with a good mix of tracks.

I far prefer Black Sea, although Skylarking's great too. Nonsuch would have made a great single album rather than a double...

I fucking adore the album that this song is off. There's an embarrassment of riches on 'Nonsuch', I think. Having said that, though, I think they musically play it a bit TOO straight on this particular track.
