Well, I'm quite sure many people here think Sigue Sigue Sputnik was just a bunch of weirdos playing crap music, but they're wrong. Almost everything they've recorded was great, including the post reunion albums.
Martin Degville's solo career is kinda chaotic nowadays, but he made a great album last year called Prophet Of Freak. :grin:

I seen Sputnik live back in the day when they were at the height of their notoriety and they were fucking jawdroppingly good. Just a pulsing soundwave of pink hair, pink guitars, pink leather, pink lighting, punk madness. Brilliant! I saw Martin's Sputnik 2 a couple of years back and it just sounded thin and dated. There's so much music these days which has caught up with and overtaken them.

Me, I'm listening to Kilbowie Road, the current album by Clydebank punkers Hateful. Check it out if you're into powerful, melodic stuff like classic era Ruts or SLF.

Totally agree with your assessment of Hatefuls latest album, bit different from their 2 previous albums, more prog/punk with the epic title track at 8mins or so long,magic stuff.Done a bit of backing vocals on the album myself,my favourite track is the powerpop/punk Throw It All Away, top tune!!
Catch Hateful and the band i play in (The Red Eyes) at O'Henries in Glasgow on Friday the 20th Aug! Hope to see you there mate! 8)

Been playing the new Feeder cd Renegades this week in the car. Its ok but not as good as Silent Cry.

I saw them in Brum, good visuals, not bad live, came out high as a kite, as half the crowd were on waccy baccy
