Jonathan Ross guests on his tv show
I see Jonathan Ross has got the rapper Jay Zee on tonight. What a load of shit. He should have the Stranglers on playing Retro Rockets. I bet his audience think Jay Zee is shit too and would far prefer something like the Stranglers.

Actually, although rap is not my thing at all, Jay Z is easily one of the most talented rap artists around. As much as I hate Mr "oh look I'm grumpy and english and desperately want to be Straker from UFO" Hudson, the current single featuring him and Jay Z is actually not that bad. imo. Great vocoder work at least.

If the MiBs get the same result as Jay Z last year, then they will have struck gold!

It just shows the BBC are happier play rap to a mass audience becauseits hip and cool, rather than play a band like the Stranglers who arent the current hip thing to like because they are getting on a bit.

If they wanted someone cool and hip they'd have to get someone completely awful like JLS on. God forbid, god forbiiiidddd.

normally i can ignore that kind of shit, but when i had my xmas job at poundland almost everyone i worked with either loved JLS or someone else of similar ilk. One girl inparticular really used to pissme off, I tried toexplain how X Factor was little more than mind control, with the recurring conversation where i asked her who performed on X Factor last week, and then who was number 1 this week... She stubbornly refused to acknowlodge the obvious though. drove me mad.

I doubt if Jet could do one of those backflip somersaults that the bloke from JLS does?

well you're older than me and I feel old anyway, being at uni really keeps you distant from everyone else your own age, sonow that I've reentered the real world I can't tell how old anyone is. Turns out there were people my age at poundland but i assumed they were loads older cos they were engaged with kids etc. I fitted in more with the 16-20 year olds. pathetic really.theraven1979 wrote:God I feel old!
