The stranglers did a gig in the 70s and it was broadcast on radio 1
24.4.77 ? Paris Theatre, London Radio 1 In Concert
I have this gig listed in Norwich
There are 6 tracks on the disc and its very good sound had it many years.
Can some please confirm the date and venue for this gig please as a few people have it under either paris theatre or norwich.

The Paris Theatre was part of the BBC
I tried to find it once & tracked it down to Regent Street in London
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Theatre
I listened to the gig when it first came out & taped a copy by microphone from my tranny.
Although the recording is not a patch on the board version, it still has all the announcer stuff from the time & it sounds like I remember it.
Sometimes its not just the music but where you were in your life at the time
For me it was 17!
I feel those days were special & a time never to be repeated with music changing in the way it did.
Think the new single Retro Rockets captures a bit of then with the lyrics & underlines what is different about now.
There is other great music coming out now , don't get me wrong, but I don't think the music scene has ever got such a kick up the backside as then.
I have seen this broadcast being quoted as coming from Norwich, which I know is wrong.
There must be a reason it's got mixed up with there, so somebody somewhere will have an angle on that.
March & April 77 were great
I got a Grip 45, recorded the Peel session, recorded this concert & saw the band for the first time
Also United beat City ......again
