Re: Last book read
Just read 'Who Killed Martin Hannet?' by Colin Sharp. It was great to read about the early Manchester alternative music scene. I remember going to some of the venues mentioned. The Stranglers get a mention early on in the book being part of the London scene. Oh and by the way, nobody killed him!!

Re: Last book read
Reading books takes too long and makes me feel tired, however,I love a bit of Dickens (especially in the winter) and (Auto) Biographies. The last 2 decent ones I read were of Ian Dury and Gary Numan.

THE EROTIC REVIEW
Well. I haven't yet finished it if the truth be known, but so far I've read an interesting contribution by Independent journalist Yasmin Alibhai- Brown and an extraordinary section on chinese foot binding entitled The Lotus Foot.
"Every night I smell her feet, placing the tip of my nose by the smell,
which is like no identifiable aroma or perfume. I only regret that I
cannot swallow down the white chestnut with one mouthful. But I can
still place it in my mouth and chew the plantar. Much of it has already
been "swallowed", the use of my tongue is , naturally, subsidiary. "

Started reading "American Psycho" again,I have to admit it is one of my favourite books. The first time I read it I though I was going to need to take a shower. But years down the line,I understand the point Brett Easton Ellis was trying to illustrate.

"HEARTFELT- Supping Bovril From The Devil's Cup"
It's about a Hibby who becomes a Jambo for a season
Pretty funny it is too, Irvine Welsh reckons it's the best book he's
read about football or Embra.

Not my usual sort of book. I read it last year although I did skip the occasional page when it got too much for me . I agree that it is an amazing book though.
