Fair few hits for me. An album for every mood. I've only seen them/him live once back in Manc- Made a good gig entrance - band started up and he just fought his way through the crowd from the back of the Academy up to the stage after having putting a looky-likey on stage to fool people.

A mate at school got me into them. I used to drive past the Salford lads club every day for 3 months during my second teaching placement. Sad when I left that school! My daughter once played with Johnny Marrs kid at the Birmingham Mac centre but I didn't realise until my boyfriend pointed it out later. I hadn't really looked at him and it's not like you expect to see him at your local park!! Bloody hell!!

Just been listening to Outside the Gate by Killing Joke. I don't think its that well regarded by KJ fans but I've always liked it.

In some quarters this album isn't really thought of as a KJ album although it goes under the name of the band. Very good album, Jaz experimenting with some very strange timings, brought on by his love for middle eastern music.

Ive just finally got this on cd after having it on tape for years. Ive always really liked this album. Its kind of mellow for them but Its very different from anything else. The follow up album Extremities is good too but totally different, far more heavy and raw.
