Great news indeed that they are recording a new album.
Hopefully it will be as good or better than Grave Disorder.
Diary was an interesting read, quite funny in parts.

I've been listening to Grave quite a lot recently and had forgotten just how good it was. Not a bad song on there in my opinion. Classic stuff.

'Grave Disorder' pisses all over 'Norfolk Coast'& 'Suite XVI' imo. Slight exageration but The Damned's last album was wot Icall a proper return to form...up there wivtheir best and Ihope they can deliver yet again

GD was good but not that good. It's certainly not up there with MGE or The Black Album.

I'd rate it over 'The Black Album'. Side two was a trifle lack-lustre imho. 'Curtain Call' bores me too.

It's a shame it's taken over 7 years for them to get something proper together..I am hoping they have not lost momentum in not following up GRAVE DISORDER quickly..I know yet again the band have had label problems a thing which has dogged them being a big leauge band since day one so it seems..CAPTAIN and DAVE always come up with good stuff when they write together..I am glad they have stopped messing around with nostagia tours now like they tended to do in the late eighties through to the mid nineties when they had that curious line up of DAVE and RAT and a few other people who came and went..

The last thing they put out was that dissapointing track LITTLE MISS DISASTER and other new ones I have heard like MAGIC POTION and PERFECT SUNDAY personally haven't sounded all that good..I would like to see PATRICIA return to the band one day as the GRAVE DISORDER line up had a good vibe and rapport..

They've been sat on songs like Perfect Sunday for fecking years.

I think Sensible has always been up to get into the studio but I think Vanian has a fear of studios or something?!

Thanks Jim for posting that!

It's sad that it's taken so long, but 999 are also slow at releasing albums

In fact GRAVE DISORDER was the bands proper album in 2001 since 1986's ANYTHING..An album appeared in 1994 called NOT OF THIS EARTH which was put out against VANIAN'S wishes and led to them falling out..Also CAPTAIN and SCABIES have an issue going on over royalties owed and basically he and VANIAN told him to fuck off when they both reunited the band proper in 1996..
