Ah well I have decided to pack it in, I have really tried it but I guess not having a mate on guitar to play along with makes it difficult and not fun.

Never mind there is always Guitar Hero 2 on Xbox!

What you giving up for?
You are bound to get frustrated, we all do, it's part of the process, you gotta stick with it.

Shane.......

The first bass guitar I ever held was JJ's slime green Fender Precision.

During rehearsals he would let me have a go on it through the PA and that was the reason that I eventually took it up myself. I was never any good but he taught me a few things (Like the twleve bar progression) and eventually I learnt enough to get by on stage. Like any learning experience things seem daunting in the early stages..........but playing any instrument is a great buzz when you master the basics.......

Yep mastering an instrument will bring so much joy and fun into your life.
Creating & performing music is as good as sex & drugs at times!
Sometimes it's even better!

I just listened and played .
Couldn't and still can't read any music ....mind you that might explain a few things , mainly why I was pretty crap . Seriously , bass is a simple instrument if you want it to be , I was never technically any good really , but in an average type punk band I didn't need to be . I gave up trying to play the bass bit on Genetix .....it lost me completely.

Sometimes I get lost just listening to it.
