Glav Club anyone?

Post by Boody »

Mrs Boody bought me a ticket for the Glav Club for Christmas. Anyone else going?

PS I told a friend who knows Moscow quite well and thought to ask him how safe it will be. "Safer than Aberdeen" was his reply.

Yes, Easyjet I think. It's even a return...just looking for a hotel.

I was pricing this up myself. Very reasonable price to fly with Easyjet ..think you can fly out on a Thursday and return on Sunday or summat like that. The stumbling block was when it came to organising a visa. There were a number of on line sites offering to sort the paperwork out but it was quite expensive (doubling the price of flight and gig ticket). Didn't dig too deep I have to say so I would be interested to hear if anyone knows the best and cheapest way to sort out the visa issue.

Nice Xmas prezzie btw Mr Boody!

Ok, just done a bit more digging.

Gatwick to Moscow with Easyjet - fly out on Thursday 9/04/2015 return Sunday 12/04/2015 = £66
Gig ticket = £19
Visa from Russian Tourist Office = £125

Comes in at just over 200 quid plus any additional costs (baggage, booking fees etc)

All you need then is 3 nights accommodation or maybe 2 if you fly out on the Friday before the gig.

I reckon you could do it all for under £500 plus same again for food, fags, booze and whores. Hmmmmm!

I'm only going for one night. Completely failed to take the visa cost into account - good spot.

it was the visa rip off that put me off from going
Rugby Union is not only the greatest team sport in the world on the field, but without a shadow of a doubt, is the greatest team sport in the world off the field. Nigel Owens.

Still tempted. You have to see it as a short break in Moscow ...not so much just a gig.

Easyjet site says that you must visit the Russian Embassy in London or Edinburgh in person for your visa. Dunno if that's the only way. Bit of a ball ache if you're not local-ish to these.

Thing is ....you only live once! I would love to be at this gig, one of only 187 punters.
