Edinburgh : 1.3.13 : Pre-Concert Cocktails.

Post by PaulinLondon »

Any suggestions as to where would be a good meet up ?

We are getting in quite early that day. Will probably head to to the hotel to freshen up :smt061, do some knitting and then come out to play.

Thoughts ? Suggestions ?

I'm getting there fairly early as well - Want to take in some sights and sounds before getting on the ale. Somewhere to eat at around 4ish would be good (not Greggs!)

I'll be out after I've had my tea, staying at Lauriston Place and arranged to meet a fellow board member to hand over a ticket. Anyone know of any pubs nearer the venue?
It just won't do

This place is OK, played loads of MIB as well. Right next door to venue as well so does get busy closer to the gig.
Or another up the road a bit

Won't be there myself, but only too happy top help.
Not sure where the nearest Wotherspoons is, for the more discerning Alky!!!

Thanks for that. Was planning on having a few round Grassmarket then wandering up the road.

The Haymarket Bar was the watering hole of choice a couple of years back - Pinot Grigio on draft I believe.

Been in there a few times myself, depends when you go there it can get busy with peeps from the Scottish Regsiters House/BOS and the like.
Bit of a walk to venue Jim??? But if you've got a few hours there's always Rose Street to meander along :smt023

The Dome is supposed to be impressive as well, not been there myself so can't vouch.

Call that a walk! It looks ideal.
