Stranglers @ Cambridge Corn Exchange 17th March 2011

Relying on my Southern MIB/WIB to suggest a good boozer pre/post gig.
Being a University city, I'd imaging there'd be quite a few cheap boozers?

Last time we opted for The Eagle - about 100 yards from the venue with a large open area out the back.
From a historic point of view, the place where the discovery of DNA was announced.

Not sure that you've quite got the hang of Cambridge, Toiler!

University city? Yes. Loads of students? Yes. Cheap boozers? Not a cat in hell's chance!

However, The Eagle is where I go when in the city centre and as Freddie Laker pointed out, it does have a beer garden-type affair which is ok providing it's not pissing down. However, I bet PiL won't entrust a tray full of drinks to Billy again! Blimey, what a noise that made when it went crashing to the ground.
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!
