Managed to get a promo copy of the new Moz lp. Don't worry industry types - I'll be buying it as well.
It sounds great - Visconti is a good producer and he really puts a shine on Moz's tunes. This is a very grand album which echoes Big Morrissey tunes like There is a Light and Now My Heart Is Full. The man is actually happy and this means lots of homo erotic references which may not sit well with some. the humour is there and it's more interesting musically as the band just don't provide a plodding soundtrack like they did on the last one. Don't want to give too much away as it's not in the shops yet. What i will say is that if you are a fan then this is his best in 12 years. If you aren't a fan then it provides a fair bit of ammunition.
