Bought their new album today: "Safe As Fuck".

Fucking brilliant - an hilarious piss take of rap music and the chav culture - very contemporary and wicked ennit...

Throughly recommended. I NEVER listen to urban/rap (call it what you want) but am chuffed to buggery with this buy at just £7.99 from Virgin Megastore this afternoon.

Who'd have thought they could sample the theme from the Snowman and Grange Hill with such wit and irony?

Particulalry love the "This is just another shit song what you hear on the radio" song....

"It's on MTV,
you can buy the ringtone,
even heard it down the old folks home.
Like the last one
and the one before that,
just another crap song by another crap twat"

Piss funny.
If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Oh come arrrn Jim!

"Last night she went out on a binge,
She got off her tits and showed the bouncers her minge"

Are you sure it's not just a case of being taken a bit too seriously in a provocative early Stranglers hidden irony kinda way?

OG - you're taking big brother to serious, buying Maggots cd's and stuff

8 members ? - unemployment rate is high in these parts, so fuck it, join a band (if thats what they are!).

I think you're right there Strangler! Seeing Maggot on BB reminded me I wanted to get their album.

Glad I did though - spilt up with the girlfriend last week two days into a traumatic holiday so GLC were just the ticket to pick me up...

I saw these live last year at the Sumani relief concert in Wales. I'm not into this type of music, but I have to say that they performed well and really took the piss out of their music. They're obviously a bunch of fun loving guys!
