great album. "Shouting Street" is probably my favourite track.

Love early Simple Minds, particularly this one as well as Empires & Dance and Reel to Real Cacophony. They were never the same after New Gold Dream, and I still can't listen to anything from Sparkle in the Rain onwards.
My thoughts exactly, love the instrumental stuff; the moody keyboards and Derek Forbes' inventive bass playing on these earlier albums and yeah, anything after NGD was dross to these lug'oles.
Yes entirely agree. I always loved these early Simple Minds albums. They are classic albums and I still play them occasionally.

Then we got to the "U2 and Simple Minds era". Oh dear...

Agree with all of this, they made some great music from Reel to Real up until New Gold Dream - diminishing returns afterwards though.

This album reminds me of Mark Two Stranglers. I really recommend it.

I just listened to the latest Jean Michel Jarre album "Amazonia".
Very ambient and spacey, was listening on headphones and now I feel like I've been on holiday... Interesting stuff.
