'How Soon Is Now?' is one of the greatest records ever made imho. 'The Queen Is Dead' is an excellent album to boot. The rest is patchy, like 'Strangeways' for example. I am a fan but not a massive fan. Having said that when you hear Morrisey/The Smiths these days it's all very refreshing.

Going backto'How Soon Is Now?'...I have the 12" single and it's just one of those pieces of music that cuts right into you, can reduce you to tears, very powerful.

Too true Bazza. Was just saying this tonight to Gizz on the way home from work - How Soon Is Now? is one of my favourite Smiths numbers - if you could sum up what The Smiths are about in one record, this is it.
