Short obit on Radio 4's PM. Featured Hook talking about bass players in general and citing JJ as his biggest influence.

I'm not a ZZ Top fan at all, but this still sucks. RIP.

RIP.
Saw ZZ Top in 1985 headlining at Donnington’s Monsters Of Rock.
(A little unknown band called Metallica were about 4th down the bill under Marillion and Bon Jovi)
ZZ Top had their Eliminator Coupe there which was flown over the crowd attached to a helicopter. Kewl

Saw them in 83 and then in 2017. Excellent gigs but it has to be said it was exactly the same gig!! Groundhog day. Legs live was the best. Even the Hells Angels enjoyed themselves.
