Best albums of 2020
I'm really struggling to think of any albums I've really enjoyed this year. I've enjoyed Morrissey's and James Dean Bradfields latest albums but can anyone else recommend any other releases?

I see someone reviewing 'La Folie' by the Stranglers on this site last week. Might be worth a look

Re: Best albums of 2020
The only 2020 albums of new material I've bought are:
Blancmange - Mindset,
Blancmange - Waiting Room Vol 1 (although that's a compilation of unreleased stuff)
Grimes - Miss Anthropocene
Sparks - A Steady Drip Drip Drip
The The - Muscle (soundtrack)
Wolfhounds - Electric Music.
I think the winners for this years best album must be Sparks from that selection, with the Wolfhounds coming in second and either The The or Blancmange in third. The Grimes album was a bit disappointing.

OK, purchases of brand spanking new vinyl this year, so far, that I remember, not including re-issues etc, include;
Pictish Trail - Thumb World (5th studio album from svelt, intelligent, adorable balladeer, trapped inside the body of an oversized, oft-bearded folk ogre and full of Electro Folky goodness)
A.R. Pinewood - No Life (the heartbroken cyber-cowboy, built with a harmonica for an oesophagus, a pitch-perfect auto-tuned voice, double-denim as standard and a strangely human heart, this machine writes classics, every time)
Jeffrey Lewis - Bad Wiring (Latest from NY Folk Punker)
Urban Voodoo Machine - 16 Shots From... (Best of their Bourbon soaked Gypsy Blues Punk & Stroll)
Ebony Steel Band - Pan Machine (Kraftwerk covers, played on steel drums, and just as cool as that sounds)
Neil Young - Homegrown (40th studio album by Uncle Neil, released June 2020, recorded between June 1974 and January 1975)
Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways (39th studio album by Uncle Bob and first album of original songs since 2012)

Probably the new Theatre of Hate album which I ordered yesterday, but 2020 been the worst year ever for music in every way, oh sorry I forgot Little Mix Confetti, I had to buy the deluxe cd and also the pic discs of all the band members, signed of course but I was pissed off that my Jesy Nelson one was unsigned, was gutted. Re: Best albums of 2020
I quite enjoyed this album but it's marred IMO by some of Sensible's ranting. I find his recent outbursts on mask wearing and Covid conspiracies a little tiring and embarrasing. I know I'm not the only one.
