Only one Elvis at early stage of his Las Vegas shows, by 1977 it was so sad, he was drugged up and could barely remember the words, IMHO the greatest ever in every way. Col Kudu.

Off topic, but congrats on your promotion Col Kudu
Whooo's there in the shadows
Re: Which bands or artist would you have most wanted to have seen live?
Ha ha no promotion for me sadly, the Col was nod to the Kings infamous manager Col Tom Parker, a villified figure, but people forget he was a master of promoting Elvis, but he took 50% cut from Elvis, he ended up bankrupt and his final few years were being a meeter and greeter at a casino to pay for his board and lodging, cant help feeling sorry for him as I'm a softy despite my reputation as an arrogant bastard. So it's good old Lt Kudu still, happy with the 2 Pips.

Yes American Trilogy so emotional, and love Jerry Lee to, they were pioneers, saw footage of last Elvis gig it's so sad but his voice was still amazing, I would love to have met Elvis and would love to meet Jerry Lee but won't happen now, also Chuck Berry at his peak, that music pisses all over anything today, and that isn't a reference to an infamous clip of chuck, I won't say more, but he was a rather eccentric character as is Jerry Lee and Elvis too was a rather eccentric man, he even had a pet chimp called scatter an ex circus chimp, but it started biting people, as a chimp from 5 years old Is dangerous and 5 times stronger than the average man, sorry to go off thread. Too many of them, but I'll concentrate on the near miss situations:
1. Talking Heads - I had a chance to see them when they were on what I consider to be the very peak of their career - the Remain in Light tour. Unfortunately, I was just a kid and I had to go on vacations with my parents. I am still trying to make up for it by attending all subsequent David Byrne's shows in the region (fortunately, there were quite a few of them)
2. The Stranglers - around Black & White album, unfortunately I learned about them only a few month later. I saw them later during the last tour with Hugh, it was ok, but I suspect it was quite a different show.
3. Lene Lovich - somewhere during Stiff years. Everyone whose opinion I respected told me to go, but I didn't.
4. The Sugarcubes - I really don't remember why I opted out, but I still regret it.
5. Siouxsie and the Banshees - I bought the ticket, but the show was cancelled. Didn't bother to return the ticket, I still have it.
Ehmm, this brings back memories...

I've never seen Killing Joke but I really like most of their stuff. I'm not sure if I will ever go and see them now though.

Ok cheers Cells. I might make the effort then when it's possible. I'm hoping they will be releasing something new soon. It's been a while since Pylon, which was brilliant.Cells&Plasma wrote: ↑02 Jan 2021, 00:38You should...I only saw them for the First Time in Hamburg two Years ago.
