For me Iron Maiden only ever made 1 good album, and that was the very first one called "Iron Maiden". I've never been able to get into any of the others..

I disagree with all of you and I'd say that the only R.E.M. album I don't like is Around the Sun.
I like Fables of The Reconstruction and Life's Rich Pageant.

I actually quite lie 'Around The Sun' (songs were much better live). However, my favourite REM album is 'New Adventures....'

Rich.
Yeah, if I only had to choose one then that would probably be it.

Elastica spring to mind. One of the best debuts by a young band in the '90s, their second and final album was a sorry thing indeed.

Probably one of the biggest sources of income on the record post 1990 was Elastica's Waking Up

I remember seeing that on Top of the Pops with Damon Albarn guesting on keyboards (I think he played on the album as well) and I couldn't believe how blatant it was! Annie the bassist was the main Stranglers fan in the band from what I heard. There's a track on the second album that ends with a "Nice'n'Sleazy" quote!

Justine was the one wearing The Stranglers T-Shirts though if I recall.

I was gonna say that too but they later released the rather excellent Everything Must Go, so...
They said they were intending to write just the one ‘classic’ album like the Pistols - Bollocks and become millionaires and leave it at that, their debut was great but not that great.

The Manics have released about five or six great albums to my mind, and none of 'em are Generation Terrorists.

I do like a few songs but as a whole I could never get into that album, thought it was very overrated, will have to give it another listen as it’s been a while.

Yes Generation Terrorists has only got a few good tracks hasn't it. I agree, I think they've done plenty of really good albums right up to now.
