The Damned - Royal Albert Hall
Ruts DC - Camden Underworld
The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing - Islington 02
Penetration - The 100 Club
Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds - The 100 Club

The Tubes, The Stranglers, The Members, Big Country, Angelic Upstarts and Tom Robinson
All at Skegness 'Great British Alternative Music Festival'

Worst was Brian James at The 100 Club. There were good bits but mostly it was jazz noodling.

BEST GIGS OF 2016 ?

Ooooh... Excluding the obvious and in no particular order:

Damned - Brixton Academy
Dead Kennedys - 02 Islington
Dickies - Camden Underworld
Vibrators/Bermondsey joyriders - Pipeline, Liverpool Street (venue now sadly closed due to skyrocketing rent)

But haven't been to a bad concert all year. UK Subs, anti-nowhere league, the Damned (again) all fun.
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

BEST GIGS OF 2016 ?

Springsteen at the Etihad was unbelievably good - three hours plus of tears, cheers and the sheer guts of rock and roll. I suspect this will be one of many votes for this on the forum!! You can spot me in the crowd below...Image

The days of gigs for me are over I think. The problems of getting a seat and all the expense of getting to a gig, the hassle of finding an accessible parking space etc etc etc just leaves me cold with fear.

Gone are the days when I could buy a ticket and just go along, now I've got so much more to do and it ain't worth the aggro. Thank God for youtube
