One of favourite Damned songs hidden on my least favourite album.
One of my fave tunes too ... and The Eighth Day is a masterpiece of psychedelia! 8)

Yes Anything was a bit disappointing but I really like Phantasmagoria. I love that instrumental break in Street of Dreams its very Stranglersy! That's a great track.

I loved it at the time but except for Shadow of Love and Street of dreams, I think it's rather weak in retrospect

Grimly Fiendish was awful - though it did do them some good of course

Trojans and Sanctum Sanctorum.

Used to like the latter but grew tired of it.

Most albums have a croony Vanian track which I never get.

Sensisble. Now. There's an under appreciated guitar wrangler

its quite strange but when Phantasmagoria came out the tour was excellent but shadow and street of dreams were much more powerful live with Rat / Brynn & Roman than any other time i have seen them play those songs live with Pinch /Capt etc - even though i think that the latter are way better musicians - they started with curtain call on that tour into shadow of love 8)
