1. The Stranglers Brighton Dome, first night of the March on tour, the setlist was a complete suprise which included Longships into The Raven, Four Horsemen, The Man They Love to Hate and Ice.
2. Slayer, Brixton Academy, this gig was just an all time classic of mine of one of their concerts for me. They played Supurbly as a tight unit. The Setlist was perfect a mixture of old classic Thrash metal oldies, and new songs from their 11th album Repentless.
3.Wonky Bus 5. A classic Stranglers weekend on the Wonky bus in Europe
4. The Damned Undercover 3 festival woking. Saw The Damned 3 times live this year, but i chose this gig as my favorite back in August, in the middle of nowhere, in Woking that looked like a gun shooting range. The Damned came on to an enthusiastic crowed.
5.Faith No More Roundhouse Always a pleasure to see this odd bunch of individuals from America
6. The Stranglers Coventry Copper Rooms, the last of the mini tour dates back in August. They were on splendid form as ever and the social was first class.
7.Buzzcocks The Garage London, took 3 gigs in about 10 years to appereciate these guys live and they nailed it at the garage north london. First time i been there. Plus the gig was Free, you can't complain at a free gig!.
8.Public Image Ltd, a first for me seeing these live at The Sheperds bush Empire in October Uncle Johnny has still got it
9. The Stranglers Cambridge Corn Exchange simply because of the venue only been there twice and love it, will be back in March for a 3rd visit
10. Metallica Reading Festival bought a ticket for it, still counts doesnt it?. Got the gig on CD now, and according to the Reading Festival Email team i was there, so who am i to argue with them?
11. Simple Minds wot can aye say bout these fellas, ..... there shite

Can't even recall how many gigs I have been to. Alzheimers setting in I think.
I've got some chloroform and handcuffs, just for you.
Re: Top 10 gigs of The Year
Went to eight gigs last year, planning on about twelve this year maybe one a month. Saw the Damned twice, they were outstanding, Slaves were brilliant as well. Was planning to see Motorhead at Newcastle City Hall this month

London is pretty far for a Northerner. How far did you travel?
