Well I used to call him just Filthy Phil of Motorhead but it looks like his full unofficial name was Phil Philthy Animal Taylor

Saw Motorhead in the 70s, supporting the Damned at the Roundhouse, then several times up to the mid-80s, including once at Port Vale football.stadium. Astonishing drummer.
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

Very sad news,a bit like Keith Moon, his antics overlooked what a fine drummer he was.A lot of the thrash metal drummers credit Phil as an influence.R.I.P

I was saddend to hear this news, obviously without Phil's innovaters of the double kick drum bass, which basically invented Thrash metal, there would be no Metallica. Plus his drumming was very good and innovative in Motorheads "Overkill" which is what he will be forever rememberd. I never saw him live in concert as i believe he was out of Motorhead in 2009. RIP

God Bless You Phillip Taylor!

A true tub thumper who ticked all the boxes for me, a cool looking, and very funny guy. A sad loss to the Rock World.

"TOP NOTCH" as Lemmy would say.
AT THE END OF THE DAY.........ITS NIGHT!!
