Re: Killing Joke
My favourite is Pandemonium ( early 90's ) followed by Night Time . the last two ( pre the current which I haven't yet got ) are both superb (MMXII , Absolute Dissent) and well worth hearing . Hossanas is an absolute assault on the ears - in a good way BUT a bit samey IMO while the previous two were also a bit run of the mill . I'd say personally I prefer their newer stuff to the original albums and if anything the longer they go on , the more brutal they get .laurie wrote:New to Killing Joke which album first?
My girlfriend saw them with me back in 2004 - she absolutely hates them . Just too much for her - likes The Stranglers but not KJ .
All quiet ..........
Re: Killing Joke
Saturday night in Birmingham they were stunning! They are such a powerful live band and in Jaz they have a frontman/vocalist you cannot take your eyes off.
They are the best and most powerful live band I have ever seen, they piss all over the Stranglers live wise and make them look very tame.
For anyone in any doubt you must go and see them, this is a band not to be missed.

I've ordered Pylon after reading this thread. For some reason I've not heard any KJ that I can think of. This will be rectified in the following months!

Re: Killing Joke
Going to Glasgow gig and was wondering if it's worth heading in early to gig. Who is the support act and are they any good?
I'm assuming Kj will be on stage around 9
