Just got tickets for simple minds gig in Perth next April for the tour for their upcoming new album,big music.anybody else going to a gig? Saw them in Aberdeen last year,excellent.

Edinburgh @ £43 & usual rip off fees!!!!!! I'm out.
Getting 2 Stranglers gigs for that.

Saw them last year and they were very good. Will go again if I can get another freebie. 'New Gold Dream'! - fucking love that song.....

I just bought ticket for the Cambridge gig. Never seen them before but I like their earlier stuff most - Empires & Dance is their best album IMO so I hope they play something from that

seen them a few times and they always put on a show but £48 for a manchester tkt is way too steep.

I kind of agree, they have some good songs though if you separate the wheat from the Chaff

The period I really hate was the 'Belfast Child' & 'Biko' years..... They were selling their records by jumping on the political correctness bandwagon. All well and good if the the songs were as good as the statements...trouble is , lyrically..Simple Minds were fucking dire.

Some of their more recent stuff ain't that bad and I'm kind of glad that Simple Minds are still around.

Best song from the eighties IMHO.

Their early stuff is very good imo, it's a bit like Magazine.
The New Gold Dream album from the early 80's is my favourite.
