Yeah ,it wAs Bangor University in north wales ,didn't think much of joy division as far as I can remember I just thought they where another non discript support band from manchester .

Enjoyed Hookys autobio and Deborah Curtis book. saw Hooky twice with his current band The Light. Highly recommended!

I was there as well. To be honest, Joy Division played the Buzzcocks off the stage on the night. This was the time when the 'cocks were falling apart. I remember them arguing amongst themselves on stage and having to restart a song or two as they fucked them up! I was really into both bands so it was a shame to see the Buzzcocks in such disarray, but Joy Division were on top form and it was a privilege to have seen them. A few short months later Curtis topped himself.

Cheers. I have obtained 24 HPP book as well as Hooky's autobiog which is a good read so far - long way to go though. ubt his writing style is great, like he's talking to you as a mate in the pub or whatever.
Think I'll go for a stroll in the trees.
