Vicious, Satellite of Love, Walk on the Wild Side, Perfect Day, How Do you think it feels, great songwriter and very influential. R.I.P.
Greetings, fellow Stranglers fans.

Allways a shock when a legend passes, even if it wasn't your thing you understand and appreciate that something great has been lost!

Re: Lou Reed RIP
Years of being the Rock 'n' Roll Animal finally caught up with poor Lou, hadn't really recovered from his Liver transplant in May.
Inextricably entwined with Andy Warhol and the New York 'scene'.

Re: Lou Reed RIP
Sad news R.I.P lou. Only own one album your on "lulu" & i think it was your last effort. At least you got to make an album with the mighty metallica.
Re: Lou Reed RIP
Here by the grace of God ...bye Lou. Maybe not such a Perfect Day and we all reap what we sow.. as you knew!

Re: Lou Reed RIP
Very sad news, and very influential.I wasn't a massive fan but I know the effect he had on a whole generation of band's was huge.
A truely sad day. They just don't make them in his mould anymore.

Re: Lou Reed RIP
Saw him in Wolverhampton a couple of years ago. It was billed as walk on the Wildside with Lou reed. He didn't play it. I loved it. There was a section in the show where acoustic unplugged style versions of velvet songs were played. I'll be your mirror and Venus in Furs with accompanying viola amongst them. My hairs stood on end.
So many great songs. His stuff with the Velvets was stunning, but so was New York, Transformer, Songs for Druella, Loaded. He was always interesting right to the end. God bless him? RIP LOU
