Hi - I discovered this site recently when sharing my Blog review on The Stranglers Guildford show...it's great to see a good old-school forum - too many bands are just sticking to Facebook and you don't get that same sense of community spirit.
I was thinking that some of you may be interested in my Retro Man Blog and Retrosonic Podcast - it's just a hobby so no commercial gain or anything - it's all run on that old Punk D.I.Y spirit so I hope you don't mind me mentioning it as after all it's all about the music. The Podcasts are split between regular episodes where me, Adam from The Jetsonics and Rock Photographer Paul Slattery (The Clash, Ramones, Motorhead etc...) play songs at each other and talk bollocks about music - mix of new and unsigned bands plus hidden gems and classics from Punk, 60's Garage & Psych, Mod and Soul stuff...Then we have "specials" such as interviews with TV Smith from The Adverts (with exclusive live acoustic session), JC Carroll from The Members, Paul Slattery's Rock Photography tales (on stage with Ramones, Dr. Feelgood etc), Swedish Psych Rockers The Soundtrack of Our Lives and much more. The next episode is with The Fallen Leaves who feature Rob Symmons, the original guitarist in Subway Sect, so some interesting anecdotes and great music. All episodes are available to download totally free and I hope you discover some new sounds!
