Not too bad. I've always had a soft spot for the Kaiser Chiefs, not a huge fan or anything, but they are pretty good.

I`ll take your word for it. As I never listen to the radio, never listen to "new" music. I am a stick in the mud, grumpy old sod, who lives in any age between 1978-1996.Josh wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8zpH9icIeI

A superb rendering, apart from the hysterical girly shout at the end. One of the best groups around. I might be mixing them up with the Kings of Leon.
I'll even let you drive my motorbike . . .

Thats pretty darn good.
Re: The Kaiser Chiefs
I notice their keyboard player didn't even attempt Daves solo! I wonder if they will ever record it? It was okay but not half as good as our boys version imo but good on them for playing it. I quite like the Kaisers but a lot of their songs are very throwaway imo. Maybe they should play Thrown away instead!

It's a good version really. Quite like it, and it's a good doff of the hat to the StranglersJosh wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8zpH9icIeI

Re: The Kaiser Chiefs
They're a decent band IMO , one of the few modern one's I 'd give a listen to , far better than the Cowell led boy/girl band dross that seems so abundant these days or the Cheryl Cole types - they play good guitar rock music and you can't ask more - I think if they'd have been around in '77/78/79 they'd have been someone like Squeeze - not punk but something on the edges of punk/new wave . There are a lot of worse bands around .

As for their NMH rendition - good but does need a Dave Greenield edge to it .
