Manics are playing a one-off gig at the London O2 on December 17th.
In conjunction with their forthcoming singles compilation, they will play all 38 singles at the gig.
The O2 isn't a venue I really like the look of, but if there are standing tickets available I might get tempted.
On sale Friday morning.

Strangely unenthusiastic about this for some reason, probably the huge venue with an unexciting hits set which they've pretty much played for the last 15 years!!! The odd 'Christmas party' angle is a bit naff too...
Did someone say "Wonky"?

Re: New Manics London gig announced
No time to do any sort of detailed review this week, but the gig was better than I'd expected.
First time at the O2 for me as I really don't usually do arena gigs - seriously impressive inside, close to 20,000 people and despite only queuing for 30 mins we were able to get a spot very close to the barrier.
Fair point that they have played most of the bigger hits regularly for a while, but when you look at the set list, there are plenty of rarely played gems in there too.
The set was more than 3 hours long, with a short 15 minute break, and at the end I think the band were relieved to have pulled it off with James remembering the words to all 38 songs (some of which were fairly obscure Richey lyrics).
Best tracks for me - Found That Soul, Faster, Empty Souls, Stay Beautiful, From Despair To Where, but the stand-out song of the night was a blistering Revol.
Conveniently, someone on the Manics forum has put together a compilation of Youtube videos of varying quality.
