So, is Alias your Heavy Metal name like Vim Fuego?Alias wrote:Saw Bad News play the Edinburgh Playhouse too, but they were quite enjoyable.
By the way, Toiler also managed to see the Communards, they didn't cancel that night.
I saw the Shamen, but I'm sure I've documented that elsewhere.

Also paid good money to see:
Gary Glitter
Rod Stewart
Michael Buble
Didn't mind 'em actually. I've seen worse gigs by "credible" bands that I thought would be much better than they were.

I was unfortunate enough to see Brotherhood of Man once. (like anyone would see them twice ) They were supporting Mike Yarwood at Oxford, some time around the battle of Agincourt.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

Shortly after I noted Mr Notabadbandatall's mention of the Addicts, I trawled the web edition of a Pittsburgh (US) entertanment freeweekly and discovered that (some form of) the Addicts wiil play there next month!

Funny that, the big man starts this thread, obviously to finally get some things off his chest,
and he doesn't even mention going to see The Communards?
Doesn't sound like he was that embarassed by going to see wee Jimmy and his crew....

I got dragged along to Cilla Black and Lulu at the end of the 70's. In laws brought the tickets and thought it would be a nice surprise????????.
Also saw Brotherhood of Man, daughter won tickets from work - - thought i had died and gone to hell.
