Any more of these?
In a weird way don't The Damned mention the Stranglers on "I Believe The Impossible" - pretty sure they sing "No more Stranglers dressed in black"

Not just that, but their second album 'Queen II' (from 1974) has two songs called 'White Queen (As It Began)' and 'The March Of The Black Queen' (one on each side - weirdly, like 'Black And White', this album also has a 'black side' and a 'white side' , with Brian May's more straight-ahead rock stuff on the white side and Freddie Mercury's more ambitious, aerie-faerie operatic stuff on the black side - this album was also produced by Roy Thomas Baker, who produced '10' )gizzard wrote:Queen - Killer Queen

Re: Bands That Mention Their Own Band Names in Lyrics
But i wouldnt call that mentioning their own band name in the lyrics, the song name or lyrics just happen to have a word in them which is also in the band name, they are certainly not referring to themselves which is what i thought was the name of the game.StanInBlack wrote:Not just that, but their second album 'Queen II' (from 1974) has two songs called 'White Queen (As It Began)' and 'The March Of The Black Queen' (one on each side - weirdly, like 'Black And White', this album also has a 'black side' and a 'white side' , with Brian May's more straight-ahead rock stuff on the white side and Freddie Mercury's more ambitious, aerie-faerie operatic stuff on the black side - this album was also produced by Roy Thomas Baker, who produced '10' )gizzard wrote:Queen - Killer Queen
