Big Country Tour 2011
I just noticed they are playing at the Brum Academy in Jan, one of the best live acts Ive ever seen at the old Hummingbird. Any ideas who is doing the vocals nowadays since the death of Stu Adamson

Now this is one band who should retire after the 'omittance' of one, (this thread should be locked forthwith!), of the lead singers! No Stu, No e-bow, NO BIG COUNTRY!
Mike Peters? Seriously?????

Bands without their original singer/guitarists - whatever next? - I'll be on for this - of course it's not the same!

I think along the same lines I think . Same with The Undertones and Feargal Sharkey . I couldn't even say who the other members of Big Country were ........ having aid that I thought Big Country were second best to The Skids .gizzard wrote:I'm with Cakey on this one.yellowcakeuf6 wrote:Now this is one band who should retire after the 'omittance' of one, (this thread should be locked forthwith!), of the lead singers! Re: Big Country Tour 2011
I'm in 2 minds about this -
Big Country without Stuart can't really ever come close to the original band...
However, so many of their great songs deserve to be played live again, so on a Thursday night in January I might just pop down to Islington and give it a go.

Also, read in the book recently that it was JJ that was singing their praises to Ian Grant - I never knew that
