Buggles to reform for one off show

Post by wanderlust »

THE AGE OF PLASTIC to be played in full as well always thought that an underrated album, also nice to see Trevor Horn back on stage as a musician after years of excellent productions.

Pension fund must be getting low?

Much preferred The Art of Noise (even with Paul Morley  )
Allow me to re-arrange your face, sometimes I'd really like to get to know you better

Oh bollocks! I got terribly excited for a moment until I realised it was not in fact about Biggles at all.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

As long as they promise to make it just the one show only :P

Couldn't take them seriously tbh, but they were great pop music - were we supposed to take them seriously?

Great comment re Yes, that is a good album (whatever it's called) and Owner... is a grand track, I actually bought it (well I used to be a record trader but kept that one pic disc). Slightly embarrassed now as just remembered I've got a Cyndi Lauper single somewhere too, and it's not a pic disc
Think I'll go for a stroll in the trees.

One of those bands who didn't take themselves that seriously visually, and looked out of place as pop stars a bit DEVO were a bit like that silly image but made some great music in the process.

The Buggles seemed like a lot of bands in the late 70's, one hit wonders or released one album with a couple of decent tracks!! Trevor Horn along with the keyboard player from "The Buggles" went on to replace Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman for one YES album "Drama". Horn then returned to produce the album "90125" which their hit single "Owner From A lonely Heart" came from (Jon Anderson had rejoined Yes at this stage). 8)
Hugh - "We had gangs of skinheads coming along trying to cause problems and stuff"
Rick Wakeman - "How did you deal with it?"
Hugh - "Our bass player used to jump off the stage and beat the shit out of them!"

EastEnders seem sto have more than its fair share of gingers . Does the BBC recieve some sort of employment benefit for gingers .... are they cheaper ?
Worst one is that gobby one .... the ginger one . With the big mouth , the woman ..... Ricky's ex or something .

I don't watch it any more .

Buggles . The bloke always reminded me of Timmy Mallet .

I'm bored . Its pissing down and thundering and I want to go for a run .
All quiet ..........
