Post by Sancho Panza »

Cracking Bootleg site here, has three Bill Nelson gigs on there, the 79 Red Noise gig is a belter.

The site also has an extensive list of other artists too.

Well worth sticking your nose in there.

Me being a bit of a techno-numpt, I need WinRAR and maybe other programmes to open/play the downloads on this excellent bootleg site- could anyone tell me where I can get the necessary ones from, safely and for free please?

Just downloaded the Red Noise Sheffield gig and giving it a listen, decent quality but am I right in thinking it's playing too fast.it all seems to be in a key or two higher than it should be and is whizzing along at a much quicker lick than I'm sure it should. I've got the Revolt Into Style 12" with a couple of live tracks on and they're definitely slower and lower.

If this is the case, any way of slowing it down to the "proper" speed and key using any of the normal media players?
If Karen Carpenter had eaten Mama Cass' sandwich they'd both still be alive today!

Yeah, your right matey, it is too fast. You can amend the playback speed on Windows Media Player, but I don't know how to do it to rerecord it though for a disc to play in the car. perhaps our mate DomP can help?

Not got much of his Red Noise stuff but got most of the Be Bop Deluxe albums and a few of his solo albums including -

Blue Moons & Laughing Guitars
Practically Wired or how I became…Guitarboy!
After The Satellite Sings
Atom Shop

Bloody marvelous albums and I found out recently that Bill's Practically Wired, After The Satellite Sings & Atom Shop are actually three of his personal faves.
Looks like I chose wisely.
