Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
The original plan was to have the album released by November but that is unlikely.
I have been working with KJ label to do the new singles package and, as that took longer to do that anticpated, it meant that focus shifted.
Plus of course the band are touring so will not have been so busy in the studio

Thanks for the update.
I'm just curious as to why a singles package would be delayed? Not a criticism, a genuine question. I can understand why a studio album would be delayed, but not a package.

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
Its down to licensing and tracking down Masters. KJ have had loads of labels and trying to tie up the ends was a nightmare.
Get the "masters" from the archives and realise shit, this is NOT the single version. This is the album version.
Where's the single version? No-one knows!!!
Things like that.
The super delux boxset is going to be mid May now I think. Trying to find one last master of a B side rather than take a vinyl rip which would be a shame.
I'm of the opinion that this has to be right, especially if people are spending top dollar and if that means a delay, then I think they would prefer that.
Anyone buy the record store day special release?

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
Thanks again.
Yes, that makes sense. Not being in the business, it hadn't occurred to me that the originals would be all over the place.
Completely agree that the deluxe box set would have to be as good as it can, fancied one myself, but a little out of my price range.
As for the Record Day Release, I didn't realise they had one until too late. However, I've had an email from What Records saying they will have a few from tomorrow, I think.
