Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
I missed out Pandemonium. I guess that would sit about halfway up the list.
Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
I'm not always a fan of Youth's ramblings, but this one is a good read.

The only Killing Joke song I know is 'Love Like Blood' and I do like that. I am looking for advice please, if I am to enjoy this band which album should I start with?

The album that's from is Night Time. A good start. Try youtubing some early classics like Empire Song, Chop Chop, Wardance, Requiem, Let's All Go To The Fire Dances, Eighties, Adorations.
My favourite albums are probably
Killing Joke (1980)
What's THIS For...! (1981)
Revelations (1982)
Fire Dances (1983)
Night Time (1985)
Brighter than a Thousand Suns (1986)

Yeah something like that. Copy and paste is a wonderful thing. I enjoy some albums more than others obviously, but each one is sprinkled with at least a few droplets of greatness!

Re: Killing Joke tour & new album
Have always classed myself as being very lucky, having originally got hooked on the band when they released 'Nervous System' all thse years ago and as for fav albums, well with Killing Joke it has always been about the mood I am in, as to which period of the band I tend to listen to at any one moment!!! 'Brighter Than A 1,000 Suns' always gets a lot of plays and the 2 recent albums for me have been corkers.
Whilst much has been said about the mainstream releases, the following albums also sit nicely in my collection
No Way Out But Forward - Nice little live album recorded in 1985
Live At The Forum Part 1 03-10-08/Live At The Forum Part 2 04-10-08 - 2 little packages from Concertlive, recorded and made available on each night when the original line up got back together, nice little momentos of a couple of great nights!!
Live At The Hammersmith Apollo 16-10-10 - Another offering from Concertlive and another good little item
Alchemy The Remixes - Many Killing Joke tracks lend themselves to the remix treatment and this album showcases 8 of them
Wardance The Remixes - another collection of Ambient remixes
Duende The Spanish Sessions - Killing Joke caught 'live' in rehearsals for the 2008 reunion tour, some great versions of some wonderful classics!
The Peel Sessions 1979-1981 - contains the full 4 sessions from the John Peel show and one from Richard Skinner
Extended and Remixed - Collection of 12" remixes
XXV Gathering - Great live album
The Courtauld Talks - Jaz at his rambling best!
The Unperverted Pantomime - CD verison featuring the bootlegs official release
The Original Unperverted Pantomime - The original bootleg version on an official relase also features a DVD with footage from the UAS in 1981
Bootleg Vinyl Archive Vol 1 & Vol 2 - 2 x 3 cd boxsets featuring old bootlegs, given an official release, includes the original 'Bums Rush' bootleg of demos.
Requiem - Recording of a gig from 2003 on both audio and dvd
HA - Mini live album reorded in 1982
Wilful Days - Collection of b-sides, extended
Laugh? I nearly Brought One - Collection of album tracks and singles
For Beginners - Collection of album tracks

Does anyone know what the f00k Jaz is talking about? I've had it on my iPod for ages but I keep on falling asleep after about 11 minutes of it.
It's not about where babies come from is it?
