End Game's actually no bad!!! A vast improvement on Hosanno's which was a let down following the 2003 self titled, imo one of the best maybe THE best albums in the Joke's 30 odd year career. I have been having a bit of Joke sesh this afternoon going through my vinyls and CD's and they reall are a band on par with the stranglers in terms of output and eclectic nature of back cat. Wouldn't mind seeing the Joke at Hammersmith, lack of funds though. I see they playing a low key gig at Madame Jo-Jo's this Thurs but my guess is sold out :(

Anyway just wanted to add a word or two as I have been having an afternoon of Killing Joke  kill

Edit- I also thought vocally on End Game Jaz was sounding quite Lemmy- like, its a bit of a motorhead sound they've gone for imo

Whoa there-false alarm. It's only a tribute night not a KJ warm up gig. It's a few bands featuring members (Youth & the keyboard player) rather than the main act...

I think of what I've heard of this album it sgoing to be better than Hosanna's and Killing Joke . More of a Pandemonium feel to it .

The EP does indeed bode well for this album! Having listened to it many times, Endgame and Ladbroke Grove are still the stand out tracks so far. Interesting to see that out of the 2 tracks aired a few years ago, Fresh Fever has made it onto the album and Timewave hasn’t! I personally thought Timewave was the better of the two! For what its worth anyway!

I hadn't heard Fresh Fever until now.

Really like this. TBH didn't think much of Timewave, but it wouldn't be much fun if we all liked the same thing!
