POLYPHONIC SIZE
Polyphonic Size website has recently been updated, and a new boxset has been released, featuring the complete 1979-1982 discography + 2 hours of unissued material. PSize was a belgian band produced by JJ in the 80's. If you have never heard them, there's a bunch of mp3 to download on the site, some of them featuring JJ on lead vocals. Actually, to tell you the whole truth, I'm the guy who's running the website, so if you have any question about the band, just ask me. Cheers !

Thanks, womaninblack. Je T'Ai Toujours Aimée is a track every Stranglers fan should have, cause it got JJ on lead vocals and bass. He even co-signed the song. There was no other version recorded : the first take was the right one. Just perfect.

Great band - listen to their stuff quite often - I like the simplicity (along with great melodies)

Thanks mantheylovetohate. Took me ages to built that site, believe me.
Anyway, I don't really understand why this topic has been moved to "Other Bands / Discuss any non-related Stranglers bands". Polyphonic Size was produced by JJ, and featured him on vocals and bass, sounds quite Stranglers-related to me !

Oh yes, brand new little Polyphonic Size story on http://www.strangled.co.uk ! The title (French Connection) is kinda wrong as the band was from Belgium, not from France. But the article presents a good summary of the PSize story, and some rare pics of JJ and Roger-Marc (PSize) (very low fi, but this is the way they have survived).C r a s s ! wrote:"French Connection"....http://www.strangled.co.uk/SpecialGuests.htm
Yes, Kraftwerk was one of Roger-Marc major influences (beside the Stranglers). Men And Construction (early single b-side) was a totally Kraftwerkization track.Cells&Plasma wrote: I fooking love this band...The Belgian Kraftwerk!!!

It sounded better than Belgian Connection, and JJ is of French parentage. But weren't Polyphonic's lyrics written in French, according to the text???
