What's all this 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' malarky?

I noticed Hugh is into saying "Yeah Yeah Yeah, Yeah Yeah Yeah" after every sentence and everyone is at it now.
Check out the Andy Summers interview, he even sounds like Hugh at the end, lol.

Must admit I do this but I only stretch to 3 Yeahs - With me it's more of a "Yeah get on with it" kinda thing

many austrians have the bad habit of saying "verstehst?" after each sentence....which means "do you understand?"......i often say "no" but they just keep on talking

I find its not just yeah's that people are saying 3 times, but all other manner of words. Its seems to have slipped in to the way we talk now!!

I think the most annoying thing some people do is the - Australian Question Intonation, aka - The High Rising Terminal (HRT), also known as uptalk, upspeak or High Rising Intonation (HRI)

I agree with that one! But if you take away the "three yeahs"...... I won't have anything to say! :grin:

I know someone on here had it on their answer machine back in 2004 and still do! That;s who I caught it off. And it is very contagious innit?
