I wouldn't be surprised though if radio stations decide not to play them because of their name.

All it would take is one person to be offended by something about the band - and obviously there's plenty of material that can be described as contentious in the back catalogue - and wail about on social media.

How can you agree a boulder called The Chamberlin Rock is racist and needs to be removed so it doesn't offend but a song that is easily interpreted by many as racist can stay?

Yeah, it's quite understandable why they - or any person of colour - would be unhappy with that. Not a difficult conclusion to reach at all for anyone with the capability and imagination to put themselves in another persons shoes.

Also, I couldn't imagine The Stranglers having to change their name at this point in time, although it's probably never helped them commercially as much as it initially worked. As for their early lyrics? A censored title on the sleeve and a sticker with a trigger warning on it seems the most likely outcome.
