The Clash, The Ruts and The Triffids.

All marvellous, all just once and all an indelible memory.

Rich.

:? All of them.
Apart from The Thompson Twins and The Nolans, obviously, but we'll never mention them again, okay?

Bit of an ecclectic mix for me

Imagination at the Edinburgh Playhouse(just for Leeee Johns feet).
Sydney Devine at the Pavillion In Glasgow(what an entertainer).

U2 at Coasters In Edinburgh(last of the Boy tour), back when Bono wasn't up his own arse.
Bauhaus at Coasters 1981. Probably the scariest gig(I was only 15 at the time).

1981/2/3/4 went to just about everything that played Glasgow/Edinburgh.
My mate had a gold card for the Playhouse(guarenteed tickets for every event, with 4th row seats in the stalls)
But that was back in the day when you could see in the NME/Melody Maker/Sounds, who was playing that night, catch the train through and pay at the door.

Okay, off the top of my head I'd have to say, bands I remember seeing, and being glad of it include:
Bauhaus, Tones On Tail, Love & Rockets, Pete Murphy, Killing Joke, Undertones (with Fergal), SLF (with Dolphin), Cramps, Liabach, Toyah, Danielle Dax,Sisters of Mercy (with Marx), Bad News, Nick Cave in various guises, The Bolshoi, Spear Of Destiny (classic line up), Neil Young, Bowie, Dylan, Beck, Echo & Bunnymen (with Pattinson & deFreitas), UB40 (before they were shite), Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, Gary Numan, Julian Cope, The Shamen (when they were a guitar band), Psychedelic Furs, The Pogues, Joe & The Mescawhatsits, New Order, Four More Heroes, The Smiths, Mikey Dread, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Stones, That Petrol Emotion, The Who...I'm sure there's more...

I once saw Don ‘Lofty’ Estelle go a gig at The Black Cat Bingo Club in Burgess Hill Sussex. This would have been around 76 I suppose. Some of you were seeing the Stranglers at that time whilst I was gently swaying with the biddies to ‘Whispering Grass’! :smt035

So, at £43 a ticket.....it was nearly a £1 per minute. He was'nt bad tho.....I can now say I've been in the same room as Bob Dylan
